My Love for Arashi Is Well-Accepted by My Family ;)

yatta!!

ne~~ in today's newspaper, Arashi appeared (again) in the Asian Celebrities section. that's the only section i look forward to whenever daddy brings home the newspaper. and the headline was about Arashi breaking double DVD sales records. yay! they've reached the highest ever DVD sales, for music concert DVD, and drama DVD. as some of you might have already known, the music concert DVD is for their 5x10 Anniversary Concert Tour. (guess what? i'm one of those who contributed to the sales. ;p) the drama DVD is for their Saigo no Yakusoku drama SP. remember? the drama SP is about a building being hijacked, and the 5 of them happen to be in that building. i didn't buy the drama DVD but i watched it first hand through Keyhole TV when it first premiered in Japan. i loved it! there were no translations or subtitles but i understood the whole story. :D

my dad was the one who read the newspaper in a bank, and he told me about it. then, he bought the same newspaper. :) *sigh delightfully* yup! it's not a secret that i'm a devotee of Arashi. my family absolutely knew it already. and they've come to like Arashi more and more too! so desu yo! uwa~ sugoi ne~

ENGLISH TRANSLATION:

We admired the flowing clouds
Nothing at all obstructing them
The colors of the sky we engraved in our memories
Are like that day and we hope it won't change
(Where should we go? To a place we haven't seen yet)
Time won't stop
Reach out your hand

**
We started running even though we were thirsty
Because we realized we wouldn't let our hearts be deceived
Without enhancing anything just as we are
Simply going where the wind takes us
To be free

We laughed together in the sunlight
Our innocent voices are resounding even now
An overflowing amount of wishes that face tomorrow
Hoping they will shine, hoping they won't change
(You're not alone, so wipe your tears)
I think you'll realize what's important

**
We painted dreams even though we'd become transparent
Because we'll shine brighter than the unfaltering sun
Even leaving our sweat as it is
Simply searching for the light
To be free

Unable to look over our shoulders
We ran through to the end
Repeatedly going up and down (Yeah)
Those times were sometimes sweet, sometimes bittersweet

**
We started running even though we were thirsty
Because we realized we wouldn't let our hearts be deceived
Without enhancing anything, just as we are
(To be free)
We painted dreams even though we'd become transparent
Because we'll shine brighter than the unfaltering sun
Even leaving our sweat as it is

A Book on My Life...

right???..

i should totally write a book based on my life. it would be a hit (i hope)!

my life is a drama~ a non-Hollywood kind of drama. or is there another word to describe it? maybe an Asian version of a drama. you know, the non-vulgar but filled with twists kind. then, i can turn it into a movie. how awesome would that be? :D

oh BTW, i sort of decided not to even try to retain my place in the (previous) course i used to be in. i actually needed 2% more marks. but i didn't. well, here's the reason behind it...

a small part of me wanted to give re-checking a try. but i kept in mind that it wouldn't make a difference in the end. i just knew it. plus, i was mentally exhausted that i REALLY REALLY didn't feel like doing anything. my energy was totally drained out. you don't know how it feels like unless you experience it yourself. ne? hontou ni.

then, another part of me just wanted to get things over with. honestly, i've been struggling. i enjoyed some part of it but...it was very tough for me. there were times when i thought "i dont want this anymore.", "this is so not good.", "i have to live like this?", or "yameru yo. onegai!". yes it's true. but hey, i did try. i didn't want to put people's hopes down, though. i hate doing that. and just FYI, the thing that makes going away harder is the great people i've met. (but some are kind of -.- ... you know. *sigh* but people are people.) i just want to move on. so, let me.

i'm grateful, though. at least i still have "my Storm". as crazy as it sounds, i do love them that much. one thing is for sure. whatever happens in my life...good or bad...please...please..don't take them away from me. onegai~

so, yeah...things will be alright. let's hope and pray so. now, i just hope that i'll live up to my original personality...outgoing, random, free... ^^v (just like Arashi's upcoming single, "To be Free". oh i listened to the preview of the song. it's great!)

most importantly, always remember that God has great plans for us. He does. He won't allow just anything to happen without a reason. :) so, stay strong! kitto daijoubu kara. owanai yo.

i couldn't agree more. ;)

Movie with Family

we impulsively decided to go out and watch a movie at the cinema in the evening. well, almost impulsively. it was originally planned to be on this Sunday, but apparently, we brought it forward. i had Nightmare on Elm Street in mind. but i had second thoughts when i remembered that my 6-year-old cousin was going to follow too. and guess what, it turned out that the cinema really cares about movie ratings. so, 18SG movies are only for 18-year-old's and above. they don't provide tickets for those under that age. so, even my youngest sister can't watch it. wait, also my other younger sister...techniquely.

so, while waiting for the others to arrive ("the others" consisted of my 2 uncles, my aunt, my grandma, and my little cousin.), we went to check for the showtimes and ticket pricing. THAT was when we found out about the movie rating thingy. i personally think that it's a good thing, though. Film Censorship Board exists for a reason. also, i don't really mind if some movies are rated for certain age groups only since i'm no longer a minor. :p so, when the rest finally arrived and joined us 5 ("us 5" would include my dad, my mom, my 2 sisters, and me.), we tried to decide which movie to watch.

in the end, we watched.....

it's about a mix-bred dog who often feels like an outcast, just like a teenage boy, who tries to fit in when the family moves to a new place (Orange County, California).

i couldn't use my membership card to purchase the tickets. apparently, the amount limit per purchase (per day, i think) is 6 tickets max. so, we couldn't get the RM1 discount per ticket. uh...whatev~

the movie was fun. a good family comedy. it was just that it was chilling in the theater and i felt a little sleepy towards the end. not forgetting, hungry. we hadn't had our dinner. :(

our other considerations were:

i really wanted to watch this one. just to see of it's as good as the other versions. even my mom wanted to watch this. though...i think it may be the same as the other one i watched. it was about Freddy, the unhappy murdered victim that haunts the sons/ daughters of his murderers in their sleep.

my uncle reviewed that this isn't a good movie. so i cancelled every intention of wanting to watch it.

Keep the Faith!

i haven't been listening to KAT-TUN or any other Johnny's apart from Arashi for quite some time.

just want to post this great song by KAT-TUN. it's called "Keep the Faith". i love the message, and it's the theme song for Yukan Club, one of my favourite J-dramas ever.
(not a new song, not a new drama, FYI)

Nothing Feels Worth Fighting for When the Spirit's Gone

my feelings right now?.... bumped, uncertain, pissed, annoyed, tired~
my thoughts right now?.... confused, undecided, tangled, unstable, (also) tired~

i need to make a decision!
and it's something very important. i was never taught on how to make good choices when i ever need to turn my life's direction around. don't get me wrong, though. medicine's great but it's just not for me. (i'm talking about the university course medicine, not the prescriptive medicine. in case you didn't know what this is about.) it's not the subjects or the program that i'm having trouble with, it's the lifestyle. as the student, and potentially as the professional later. i'm just the out-going, fun-loving, and free-spirited kind. *nod* oh yeah..believe it. i CAN stand medicine-related studying for a period of time, but NOT for a very long time. in fact, i once almost cried while reading too much medical stuff. haha...i know, sounds over-dramatic. but it's true. but i kept going anyway. the main reason was I DIDN'T WANT TO LET ANYONE DOWN. breaking people's hearts feels worse than breaking my own, that's how i see it.

so, below are the (not many) options i have now if i were to stay in the same university, but a different course:

(1)
THE TYPICAL CHOICE: resource biotechnology
why it may be OK: because it's biology (plus technology), and biological science is the subject i've been mostly exposed to since school and matriculation.
why it may be BAD: i don't like lab works. in fact, i think i hate them!

(2)
THE NEXT TYPICAL CHOICE: resource chemistry
why it may be OK: also, because it's science.
why it may be BAD: right...chemistry. i wonder if my head can withstand the chemistry terms without exploding. and again, i don't like lab works. and the prospect doesn't seem so promising too.

(3)
THE UNEXPECTED CHOICE: economics (or international economics)
why it may be OK: i secretly have this dream of having a business of some sort someday. i know it will take some time, though. not forgetting skills and risk-taking.
why it may be BAD: i've always been a science-based student. (but i did learn accountancy in school. can that make it ok?)

(4)
THE OTHER CHOICE: .......anything else, probably education or counselling or TESL?? (o.o)
ah..i can't think anymore!

DARE KA, DARE MO, TASUKETE!!! anata ga iru itai daiyo~
Kami sama...doushiyou na??? shirenai yo.

To Be Free??

let's forget for a while the fact that my future career isn't determined yet. yeah i can be pretty indecisive sometimes. go figure! but i'll keep my faith and know that i'll find my way eventually (but it better be soon enough).

OK! now onto the fun side of life.....guess what? you know (or you don't) that Arashi's 30th single entitled "Monster" was released on May 19th. and it was a hit! i love it! so i read a recent update on this amazing 5-bunch, and found out that they'll be releasing their 31st single on July 7th!!! that's very soon! is it even possible??? in less than 2 months, can 2 singles be released consecutively?? and rest assure, the 31st single is going to be goooooood as well. it has a catchy pop tune, i heard. i haven't listened to the preview yet. WOW! they just keep it coming.
2 singles in 2 months??? *i'm still in the state of disbelief* oh..the title of the upcoming single is "To Be Free".

here is Arashi~
aren't they lovely? *starstruck*

and you know what? it just hit me...maybe this is some kind of a sign. i mean, the title itself is "To Be Free", so i have this crazy thought telling me that maybe it's time for me "to be free" from something i've been in all this while. maybe i am meant to not move on with this path and "to be free" from what's not meant for me.

the thing is...as i got myself into it from the beginning, i grew fonder towards it. i came to really like the field, even when it's SUPER challenging. also, for some reasons -.-", quite a number of people (e.g. relatives, family friends, former schoolmates) actually knew what field i've been pursuing. and they kept on mentioning it every time we met. well, it's nice but i'm not the kind of person who loves to let the whole world know every detail about me for no reason. i'm just not. but if they HAPPEN to find out, that's another story.

well, anyway...we'll see where i'll end up at. i'm sure i'll be fine. God, continue to be with me and keep me on the right path.

...............

back to the better news, YAY for the highly anticipated single release form my ever favourite J-pop group, "the Storm"! ^o^v

hmm...to be free...

p/s: i'll explain in a bit more details on the future career changing decision in the coming post. maybe the next one.
